About the Event

Aim: to inform people working in the construction sector about the Go Construct volunteering scheme within the STEM Ambassador Programme.

The STEM Ambassadors Programme is a UK wide volunteer programme for people who are passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and wish to inspire young people. This volunteering can take many forms including working with schools, supporting youth groups, setting up STEM Clubs, mentoring and much more. STEM Ambassadors get access to lots of opportunities, free online training and networking sessions, access to STEM resources and support and advice from the STEM Ambassadors in Scotland Hub based at SSERC. We ensure that all STEM Ambassadors have a profile on the website (www.stem.org.uk), complete an online induction and PVG application prior to volunteering. For more information check out our website: www.stemambassadors.scot.

The Go Construct STEM Ambassador Scheme focuses on inspiring young people to pursue construction related roles and to give them the opportunity to learn more about the importance of STEM within this sector.  This scheme is managed by CITB across the UK.  Find out more here: www.goconstruct.org/get-started-in-construction/go-construct-stem-ambassadors/

This session is open to all potential, new and existing STEM Ambassadors working in the construction sector in Scotland.
