About the Event

SSERC and SSEN Transmission would like to invite you to attend our Local Teacher Insight Session on 20th September from 4.30pm to 5.30pm held virtually via Microsoft Teams. Note this is the event which was postponed from 13th Sept.

Community Liaison Manager, Sharon Powell and HR Pipelines Manager, Kirstin Knight will lead the session to provide you with an overview of SSE’s work within Shetland, an opportunity to hear from one of our current apprentices Freya Laurenson and a discussion around how they can become more involved with your local schools and community.  They are also looking for input from teachers on how they can best support your schools, teachers and pupils to share their world of engineering, the transition to a Net Zero future and early careers opportunities.

SSERC and the STEM Ambassadors in Scotland Hub team will also take you through how to request STEM Ambassadors, resources that are available to you and how to utilise SSE's offer.

We welcome you to join us on the 20th of September and look forward to meeting you then.

For Shetland based practitioners only,
