About the Event
This is an in-person training opportunity at Ballmalloch Primary School in Kilsyth on Wednesday 11 May, 13.15 - 14.45.
Marty Robot is a humanoid robot designed for students to learn about robotics and coding. Marty can move, dance and do other activities and has been designed to be used in the classroom. It also comes with a wealth of activities to complete with Marty and a group of learners.
This training opportunity for STEM Ambassadors who want to learn how to use this resource for their own volunteering. Marty is part of the Hub's lending library where we can provide STEM resources to STEM Ambassadors for free to run in schools or groups. During this session you will learn more about Marty, how it works, ideas on how to deliver the activity and meet other STEM Ambassadors and the Hub team.
The training will take place in a primary school with the school's Young STEM Leader group and teachers also participating in the training so this is a great opportunity to engage with learners as well as see how you can use Marty to deliver STEM engagement.
You don't need to have any experience with coding already as it is beginner-friendly and you could use Marty to support workshops for lots of different topics.
