About the Event
This face to face session for ambassadors will be held at the King's Building at the University of Edinburgh
This fun, interactive online session is suitable for all ambassadors who want to learn about a new resource you can use to help deliver maths activities, this is a primary school resource so no set level of maths experience required.
The University of Edinburgh School of Mathematics have developed Maths Circles as an opportunity for learners to enjoy fun hands on mathematics.
Learn how to use the loan kits available from STEM Ambassadors in Scotland to run these sessions.
Each box contains a selection of about thirty problems, with accompanying hands-on resources.Â
During this workshop, we give a brief introduction to our Maths Circles,  then we explore some of the resources we use. We also discuss how such resources can be used in the classroom and can spark curiosity and help children develop their mathematical thinking.Â
