Join us for this STEM Story Session and learn about Newton's Law of Motion with STEM Ambassador Lizzie Dunlop and Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed. As well as the book there will be an activity learners can join in with. Suitable for approx 5 - 8 year olds.

About the Event

Join us during STEM Ambassadors in Scotland Week for this STEM Story Session.

Her mom told her, "If you believe it, and work hard for it, anything is possible." Learn about Mae and how she wants to become an Astronaut! Make your own rocket blaster and learn about Newton's Law of Motion and blast off into space with STEM Ambassador Lizzie Dunlop. 

During this session, Lizzie will read Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed and lead a practical rocket blaster activity that learners can join in with. 

To join in and make rocket blasters, each learner will need:

  • A straw (can be any straw)

  • To print the Rockets Template (link to download below)
