I'm also a qualified fitness instructor and take BodyPump and BodyAttack classes in my spare time (when not in lockdown)
Tell us about your career journey so far
Joined Calico UK straight out of college. Been with the company for 22 years this summer. In 2004 the owners of the business offered the team to buy out the company, so I became a director and shareholder.
What was your favourite subject in school and why?
Computing of course, and text processing. I loved using the computers and word processors.It just felt natural to use the technology.
What subjects/qualifications are useful in your role?
Computing studies, business studies. Most of my skills have been learned on the job over the years. Communication skills are also very important.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
I love getting new customers started up with a service, plus solving peoples connection problems.
What is a normal day in your role like?
I spend a lot of time assisting customers on our technical support helpdesk. I get customers online with new domains, web hosting and email services and then support them to use their devices with our services.
