Envision the future of STEM for SSERC's 60th Anniversary!

2025 marks the 60th anniversary of SSERC, and we have lots to celebrate! To honour the history of the last 60 years while also looking forward to the next 60, we are collaborating with the Young STEM Leader Programme to create a time capsule filled with entries from STEM Ambassadors and Young STEM Leaders about their vision of the future in five key areas: Space, Power, Health, Gadgets, and Planet Earth.

Selected entries will be collated in a Digital Gallery launching this September; all contributions will be sealed in a Time Capsule to be opened in 2085 by the Young STEM Leaders and STEM Ambassadors of the future. We'll also be showcasing entries throughout #YoungSTEMLeaderWeek2025 (27th - 31st October).

STEM Ambassadors are invited to submit entries on their thoughts for what these areas of STEM could look like in 60 years. Visit the Time Capsule page to submit entries and see examples from STEM Ambassadors in each field, detailing snapshots of each category 60 years ago, today, and 60 years in the future.
