The STEM Ambassador programme has the power to inspire and inform the next generation of STEM; the programme plays a key role in bringing STEM volunteers from a wide range of STEM careers into educational settings.

Requesting STEM Ambassadors can create engaging experiences that can go beyond the classroom by giving students a relatable role model and showing how STEM skills apply in the real world. STEM Ambassadors can support in a variety of ways, such as giving talks about a STEM career with a Q&A, hosting a stall at a careers fair, hands-on classroom sessions, STEM Club activities, and much more!

We highly encourage you to explore the opportunities available and consider requesting a STEM Ambassador to support your next activity. This guide provides a quick overview on how to add an activity to the STEM Ambassador digital platform.

Remember to Add your School

Adding your school to the “Participating Schools” section of the activity form is a small step that makes a big difference. When creating a STEM Ambassador activity, you'll need to specifically add your school name rather than just listing your school address in order to properly record the impact and keep an accurate record of your schools activity. It's a small step, but it makes a big difference to our ability to track engagement and evidence the impact of the programme.

How do I add my school?

When creating an activity on the STEM Ambassador digital platform, simply go to the “Participating Schools” section and select your school either from the drop-down menu or by typing your school name into the search bar.

This step will connect the activity directly to your school, helping to accurately record where the STEM engagement is taking place.

If you're a teacher or community group leader interested in learning more about the STEM Ambassadors, join one of our live webinars, where we talk through the ins and outs of the programme and how to use the digital platform to get support from STEM Ambassador volunteers.
